organization

I feel like only one room of our house at a time can be clean and organized. And I feel like an old person for talking about this, but it occupies a fair amount of my waking thoughts. There are only two of us living in the house and we are both highly-functional adults who have lived on our own and know how to do things like put shoes away or clean a bathroom. So I don't know why our shoes still end up scattered around the house or why the bathroom doesn't get cleaned until we notice something beginning to grow. Perhaps it's a riddle for the ages... Or perhaps, while intelligent, we are just lazy. So, one of those.
